This is quite an interesting thread by Twitter user @onuohadave.
According to him, during mass yesterday when the priest finished preaching, he requested for the microphone to ask questions bothering him on topics like religion, cancer, why good people suffer and more, leaving the priest and his mum totally speechless and shocked.

I'm itching to do something never been done before.— Vidar (@onuohadave) September 23, 2017
Interrupt the priest's sermon to ask questions about religion that bothers me.
So, I was really angry last night and was unable to sleep. Went to church extremely irritable and cranky.— Vidar (@onuohadave) September 24, 2017
Fast forward to the sermon.— Vidar (@onuohadave) September 24, 2017
Priest was giving a sermon and he's such a terrible preacher/teacher.
He's done with the sermon and asks us...
...to reflect in silence on the sermon.— Vidar (@onuohadave) September 24, 2017
Cranky af, I raised my hand and said I have questions I'll like to ask now.
Priest says okay..
So I ask for a mic and went on a whole rant of questions about questions about Religion that I have.— Vidar (@onuohadave) September 24, 2017
Creation, omnipresence of God, sins,..
..earth disasters, diseases, and why the creator allows those who worship him to go through suffering.— Vidar (@onuohadave) September 24, 2017
Church right now is in absolute silence looking at me.— Vidar (@onuohadave) September 24, 2017
Mother, who is sitting next to me, is beyond shocked too.
Priest is stunned. He's unable to find the words.— Vidar (@onuohadave) September 24, 2017
And he asks me to see him after mass but I'm not having that.
I tell mans that I'm sure..
..I'm not the only one in church with these questions and his answers will go a long way to clear doubts.— Vidar (@onuohadave) September 24, 2017
Priest is stunned even more.
Mother has buried her head. Ma is in disbelief.— Vidar (@onuohadave) September 24, 2017
Priest finally finds his voice and asks me to wait after mass.— Vidar (@onuohadave) September 24, 2017
Church wardens step forward attempting to collect the mic.
Service continues.
Anyways, I'm sitting at the Parish office right now.— Vidar (@onuohadave) September 24, 2017
See you all later.
Let me finish this..— Vidar (@onuohadave) September 24, 2017
So, priest takes me in to have a one on one.— Vidar (@onuohadave) September 24, 2017
First he admonishes me for my "behavior" during sermon/homily.
Of course we argue over this..
I counter with he should have answered during the sermon as that will help other Christians who have questions find answers— Vidar (@onuohadave) September 24, 2017
We agree on this
He attempts to answer my questions.— Vidar (@onuohadave) September 24, 2017
A dialectic ensues as he tries to base his answers on the supernatural and i base my questions on logic.
And why an omnipresent, all powerful, creator allows suffering to his followers.— Vidar (@onuohadave) September 24, 2017
Why's the earth experiencing disasters?
Earthquakes, Tsunamis etc.— Vidar (@onuohadave) September 24, 2017
Displacing hundreds and killing thousands, millions.
Why does a creator allow his creations go through this
Why is there cancer?— Vidar (@onuohadave) September 24, 2017
Why is one of the most devout catholics I know currently battling prostrate cancer?
Why is there so much suffering?
Priest struggles to find answers or suitably clear a clouded mind.— Vidar (@onuohadave) September 24, 2017
Instead telling me to seek guidance from up above.
Sigh.
Finally, for my "outburst and insubordination", I'm currently suspended from my position as an executive in the church's CYON.— Vidar (@onuohadave) September 24, 2017
Lol.
Before I leave, I ask priest why the congregation isn't allowed to ask questions after a sermon/teaching as is the case in a class/school— Vidar (@onuohadave) September 24, 2017
..As this will help a lot of Christians who need answers to questions.— Vidar (@onuohadave) September 24, 2017
Mans replies "that will disturb the flow of mass"
As I stand to leave, mans asks me "Are you atheist?"— Vidar (@onuohadave) September 24, 2017
I actually laughed out loud here cos now mans about to piss me off.
Me: These questions I have have absolutely nothing to do with atheism or whether I have atheist inklings. I'm only trying to know/understand— Vidar (@onuohadave) September 24, 2017
...more about the scripture, doctrine and religion.— Vidar (@onuohadave) September 24, 2017
In anger, I leave the office.
So now, it's time to go home and I'm absolutely dreading going home to meet mother.— Vidar (@onuohadave) September 24, 2017
I'm probably about to be disowned. Welp!!
Fast forward to home.— Vidar (@onuohadave) September 24, 2017
Step in, the rebel.
I'm braced up for the worst.
To receive the earful of earfuls from Ma.
Ma starts ripping into me for my actions. Woman cold right now. Eyes like ice.— Vidar (@onuohadave) September 24, 2017
Asks what demon behavior prompted me to such lengths.
Days back, I went to stay with her at the shop wearing a shirt with "Handsome Devil" inscribed on it.— Vidar (@onuohadave) September 24, 2017
Best believe she brought this back.
She continues, saying she's always known my exposure to so much books and quest to understand every situation will be my end someday.— Vidar (@onuohadave) September 24, 2017
I'm just here, motionless.— Vidar (@onuohadave) September 24, 2017
Want to talk back to Ma? Wrong call.
Woman continues her verbal tirade and I'm just there standing, contemplating my what my next surname will be.— Vidar (@onuohadave) September 24, 2017
Long story short, mother says she understands my questions and all but that somethings need to be left to faith and not logic.— Vidar (@onuohadave) September 24, 2017
Looks like I still have a roof over my head and a surname.— Vidar (@onuohadave) September 24, 2017
Safe to say, I won't be pulling this anytime soon ?.— Vidar (@onuohadave) September 24, 2017
Pizz awt ?
I strongly believe that a reason Christians are gullible and alien to critical thinking and original thought is cos we refuse to ask our..— Vidar (@onuohadave) September 24, 2017
...preachers questions. We just take and swallow whatever it is our preachers feed us.— Vidar (@onuohadave) September 24, 2017
Like I always say at the end of my threads,— Vidar (@onuohadave) September 24, 2017
