Supergirl, The flash, Arrow and legends of Tomorrow, four of CW's biggest series, have all been renewed and will surely return next season.
Cw announce the news ahead of its session at the television critics association conference in pPasadena, California today Along with four dc superhero series. The network renewed Crazy Ex-Girlfriend for a third season.
Jane the Virgin for a fourth season and the beloved cult series, Supernatural, for a thirteenth season.
Network president Mark Pedowtiz said during his executive session that while seasons of other shows can run for shorter periods of time, DC series lend themselves to more traditional network schedules. Instead of sitting at 12 or 14 episodes a season, for example, DC series can sustain themselves for a longer, more dedicated season.
Supergirl, The flash, Arrow and legends of Tomorrow, are all currently on a mid-season break. The shows will return the week of Jan. 23.
